Lake Arrowhead, California is often called 'The Alps of Southern California'. Located in San Bernardino County, California Lake Arrowhead is part of the San Bernardino National Forest and is best known as a cozy mountain resort area where people can find many activities or simply some peace and quiet.

Originally inhabited by the Serrano Indians, Lake Arrowhead is now a mountain resort area with easy access to Los Angeles, skiing, camping, shopping and recreation. For hikers, the Pacific Crest Trail is about seven miles away and runs from the Mexican border to Canada.

The Lake Arrowhead area began developing in the 1890s. Since that time Lake Arrowhead has become a popular resort and vacation location. The beauty of the area and the many unique local businesses draw people here and keep them coming back.

Lake Arrowhead is a man made lake that was originally created to water the orange trees in locations such as Redlands and Riverside. However, it is now a private lake restricted to the use of property owners.
Hike, camp, swim and water ski in the Lake Arrowhead summers. Snow ski, sled, and enjoy cozy fires in the Lake Arrowhead winters.
